We hope that each and every one of you is staying safe in these strange times. Whilst the decision to postpone WMWF in 2020 was incredibly sad, we believe that hindsight has shown that it was the right choice for us to make.
The lockdown period also gave us all time to reflect on our lives. Gary used his time to look back at Drum Camp/WMWF and produced his excellent book, chronicling the 25 years from its inception to the present. The book offers a real personal insight into the many highs and occasional lows of running this truly magical event that has touched so many lives.
However, during this time of reflection, Gary has decided to refocus his life on new projects and endeavors and step down from the WMWF organisational team, (although he remains a shareholder in Drum Camp Limited). This of course will come as a huge shock to you all, but we are sure you will agree that, after two and a half decades of dedication, Gary absolutely deserves the opportunity to move on and explore new horizons in life. I am sure you will all want to join us in wishing Gary all the best for the future.
The great news is that the remaining members of the WMWF team of Directors are still passionate about this wonderful event and want to continue the fantastic legacy that Gary leaves. We are currently investigating the possibilities for 2021, in light of the continuing impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. We will keep you posted about our progress through our Facebook page and mailing list.
In the meantime, we wish you and your loved ones well, and we wish Gary every happiness and success for the future.
With very best wishes,
The WMWF Team
